Denis Larocque joined Major Drilling Group International Inc. in 1994 and was appointed President and CEO of the company in 2015 after rising in a series of roles with the Company. He leads one of the world’s largest drilling services companies primarily serving the mining industry, and the largest publicly traded company headquartered in New Brunswick. The Company is registered in more than 20 countries in North and South America, Africa and Australasia, employing more than 4,000 employees.
Denis is active within his community acting for three years as co-chair for the Tree of Hope campaign, which supports the cancer treatment centre of the Georges L Dumont Hospital in Moncton. He has also served on several not-for-profit boards and corporate boards.
Denis is a graduate in Business Administration from Laval University as well as the Directors Education Program at Rotman School of Management for the University of Toronto. In 2018, the New Brunswick Chartered Professional Accountant Institute awarded Mr. Larocque the title of Fellow CPA in recognition of his contribution to the profession and his community. He also holds the ICD.D. designation granted by the Institute of Corporate Directors.
