New Brunswick Business Council welcomes André Vincent

The New Brunswick Business Council (NBBC) is pleased to welcome André Vincent, CEO of Assumption Life to the group.

André Vincent became President and CEO of Assumption Life in April of this year and made an immediate impression on the New Brunswick business community with his keen interest in our province and his openness to learning and engaging in our local issues and culture.

"I'm pleased to welcome André Vincent to our group of business leaders committed to New Brunswick's economic and social development,” stated Council Chair Francis McGuire, CEO of Major Drilling Ltd. “With his rich experience in financial services and rapid immersion into our province's culture, he brings a valuable new voice to our work."

“I’m looking forward to working with the leaders of the New Brunswick Business Council,” said Mr. Vincent, “which will enable me to better understand the realities, opportunities and economic impacts for our province.”

Business Council members are leaders who have demonstrated a personal and professional commitment to our province and who lead economically significant enterprises.

About André Vincent

Mr. André Vincent began his career in 1978 as a financial advisor with the Great-West Life Assurance Company. Over the years, he climbed the ranks to become Regional Manager, Sales and Marketing, Quebec, in the 1990s. In 1994, Mr. Vincent joined Desjardins-Laurentian Life Group as Senior Vice-President, Group Network, subsequently becoming Executive Vice-President, Individual Network. After a few years as an executive search consultant and partner, he joined Médavie Blue Cross in 2008, assuming the role of Vice-President, Group Business, Quebec.

Mr. Vincent has a degree in administrative science from Collège Bois-de-Boulogne and an MBA from Concordia University. He also has a passion for the arts and music and studied saxophone at a private music school in Montreal. Mr. Vincent serves on the boards of the Ensemble contemporain de Montréal and L’Arche Canada Foundation.
